Our Mission

The Murray’s Light Foundation’s mission is to honor the memory of Murray Nixon by providing grants and scholarships that give young people in the Middle Georgia community the opportunity to choose creative and educational passions that they wish to explore and pursue.

 

Our goal is that, through supporting students and organizations, young people in Middle Georgia will discover and connect further to their interests. We hope that this involvement will inspire young minds to realize their dreams for a brighter future.

Murray’s Light at a Glance

Through fundraising from previous events, we have been able to create the Murray’s Light Scholarship Fund by partnering with the Community Foundation of Central Georgia. In addition, we were also able to create opportunities for young people to follow their passions by supporting the Otis Redding Foundation Dream Camp, Macon Little Theatre Kids Camp, and the Methodist Home for Children. Each year our reach has grown, and we are looking forward to continuing this growth.
